Paul is the Managing Partner of Maples and Calder's London office, and head of the firm's Investment Funds practice group in London. He specialises in the establishment and maintenance of all kinds of investment funds, in particular private equity funds and hedge funds, advising a range of investment managers, intermediaries and financial institutions. He is a regular speaker at industry conferences and contributor to journals.
Paul joined Maples and Calder in the Cayman Islands in 2002. He moved to the firm's London office in 2004 and was elected as a partner in 2005.
Paul has been named as a leading private funds lawyer in The International Who's Who of Private Funds Lawyers, where he was described as "simply brilliant" and has been recommended in Chambers Global and Legal 500. Paul has been named as a key individual in Chambers UK and described as, "The leading investment funds player in the market… he is brilliant for just wanting to find solutions and be incredibly practical."
