John advises sponsors, investment banks, investment managers, alternative investment fund managers, asset managers, institutional investors, administrators and depositaries on the establishment of, participation in and regulation of a broad range of regulated funds, including UCITS and alternative investment funds and unregulated investment funds, including real estate funds, private equity funds, hedge funds, and master feeder funds.
John joined Maples and Calder in 2016, having spent the previous three years working in the London office of Allen & Overy. Prior to this, he worked in London at another international firm. John previously worked in the investment funds group of another leading Irish corporate law firm, where he also trained as a solicitor.
While in London, John was also seconded to several global financial institutions where he worked on a variety of asset management matters.
