Fergus is a Funds industry professional with over 30 years' experience spanning general and executive management, operations, product, and business development. Fergus has extensive industry knowledge encompassing fund structures and domiciles, investment strategies, instruments and distribution channels; in conjunction with a keen understanding of investor, manager, market, legislative, regulatory and business risk forces.
Fergus joined Maples and Calder in 2013 from the Investment Services Division of Bank of New York Mellon where he was a Managing Director. He was previously Managing Director and Country Head of PNC Global Investment Services (formerly PFPC). Fergus led the start-up of PFPC building the business to over $120 billion of funds under administration with a Global footprint in terms of clients; fund structures, strategies and domiciles; and client's fund distribution. Fergus has also worked with Bank of Ireland Securities Services, Swiss Bank Corporation and Irish Life Assurance.
