Emma specialises in investment funds and advises on closed and open-ended investment funds, regulated mutual funds and hedge funds together with the associated corporate and commercial law aspects. Emma also has a broad range of experience in corporate finance M&A work, both public and private, including company and business acquisitions and disposals, public takeovers, fundraisings and IPO's, joint ventures and re-organisations.
Prior to joining Maples and Calder in 2008, Emma spent three years working in the corporate finance team at SJ Berwin LLP in London. Prior to this, Emma completed her training with DLA Piper at their Glasgow office where she spent six months on secondment at The Royal Bank of Scotland in London advising on a range of commercial and corporate law issues.
