David specialises in the establishment and structuring of complex private equity funds and hedge funds, as well as providing ongoing advice with respect to their continuation and downstream transactions, including mergers, joint ventures, reorganisations, acquisitions and disposals, and all general corporate matters. David acts for a varied cross-section of clients ranging from top tier international private equity houses to boutique hedge funds.
David joined Maples and Calder in 2012. He was previously a partner in another international law firm in the Cayman Islands, and prior to that, worked in London for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and for Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, and in London and Paris for Linklaters. David has been recommended by the Legal 500.
