We offer a balanced training programme across the core areas of our business, preparing you for the challenging work that will help you develop the important set of skills needed in a qualified solicitor.
Our trainees are rotated through our practice areas, which include Corporate, Finance, Funds and Litigation. Dublin Trainees will also have the option of a rotation in our Property and Tax departments.
Each year, our Dublin trainee programme allows two trainees to complete an overseas rotation in either our Hong Kong or Cayman Islands offices. Further secondment opportunities, including client secondments, are often offered to selected trainees in each intake, depending on the needs of the firm and our global client base.
We believe in adopting a team-oriented approach. In addition to the ongoing support of experienced partners and lawyers, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our professional support staff and your fellow trainees, all of whom will form part of your network within the firm.

Trainees in Dublin receive a competitive salary and benefits package. We also pay your Law Society fees and you will receive compensation for your successfully completed FE1 exams when you begin your traineeship with the firm.

This is the first step to securing a traineeship with Maples and Calder Dublin, and our primary recruitment process for future trainees. Applications for our new Professional Internship Programme open in early January. The programme runs over June, July and August and each is four weeks long.
