Trainee Solicitors and Articled Clerks

We want the very best people to join us and so we make every effort to offer you excellent training and career opportunities in return.

The Programme
We offer a balanced training programme across the core areas of our business, preparing you for the challenging work that will help you develop the important set of skills needed in a qualified solicitor.

Our trainees are rotated through our practice areas, which include Corporate, Finance, Funds and Litigation. Dublin Trainees will also have the option of a rotation in our Property and Tax departments.

Each year, our Dublin trainee programme allows two trainees to complete an overseas rotation in either our Hong Kong or Cayman Islands offices. Further secondment opportunities, including client secondments, are often offered to selected trainees in each intake, depending on the needs of the firm and our global client base.

We believe in adopting a team-oriented approach. In addition to the ongoing support of experienced partners and lawyers, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our professional support staff and your fellow trainees, all of whom will form part of your network within the firm.

Skills Training
We know that our present and future successes depend entirely on the quality of our people. This has motivated us to focus considerable resources on our investment in training, providing you with opportunities to progress and develop at every stage. Our training programme will form the basis of your future career development, but is also intended to stimulate and challenge you daily as an individual.

Career Development
Personal appraisals and on-going feedback will play an important role in providing you with the support you need to build the necessary skills and experience for a rewarding career with us. We take a long-term view on training and development and are committed to continually enhancing your abilities.

Trainees in Dublin receive a competitive salary and benefits package. We also pay your Law Society fees and you will receive compensation for your successfully completed FE1 exams when you begin your traineeship with the firm.
