Professional Internship Programme
Our Professional Internship Programme aims to give you an idea of what it is like to work as a trainee at Maples and Calder, Dublin. We will make every effort to ensure that you are exposed to an interesting and diverse range of work.
The Professional Internship Programme is our primary recruitment process for future traineeships, providing an excellent platform for those interested in securing a training contract with Maples and Calder, Dublin.
This is a balanced training programme and offers secondment and travel opportunities in addition to working across the core areas of our business.
The Professional Internship Programme gives you the opportunity to see if a traineeship with us is right for you and is the first step in your career with Maples and Calder.
The annual programme has two intakes of four weeks each, during June, July and August.
This is a paid placement, and you will have the opportunity to work alongside partners, associates and trainees in one of our practice areas, including, Corporate, Finance, Funds, Litigation, Property and Tax, for the duration of your internship.
Another key advantage of our Professional Internship Programme in Dublin is the size of our intake, which allows better exposure to a range of work and experiences. We are focused on ensuring that you receive a valuable experience, including one on one time with partners, to allow you to make the right decision for your future career.
You will be teamed up with a buddy who will be your guide throughout your internship. In addition to on-the-job training, you will also participate in a range of extra-curricular training sessions to help you develop your skills and progress in your career.
At the end of the programme, you will be given the opportunity to interview for a traineeship with Maples and Calder, Dublin.

Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications from anyone who has completed at least two years of an undergraduate or graduate degree in any discipline. Postgraduate students or those who have completed their studies are also encouraged to apply, including those who have work experience and have already completed FE1 exams.
How to Apply
We will open for applications for our new Professional Internships in early January 2019, with the internships taking place over June, July and August.
The selection process involves an online application form followed by an interview with two of our partners in the Dublin office. If you are unable to attend for interview in person, we can facilitate a video conference interview.
Representatives from Maples and Calder will attend a number of university career fairs this autumn, providing further details on our Professional Internship Programme.
