Jonathon has extensive experience of international capital markets and corporate finance transactions. Jonathan regularly advises on all aspects of banking, fund finance (for both lenders and borrowers, including capital commitment subscription financing), aircraft finance (including on- and off-balance sheet commercial aircraft finance and leasing, aircraft portfolio securitisation, and private equity co-investment platforms), and other structured finance matters (including CLOs, securitisations and structured funds such as risk retention, debt, and CLO equity funds). Jonathon also advises on a wide range of general corporate and commercial deals, including restructurings, joint ventures and M&A transactions, and debt and equity listings on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.
Jonathon joined Maples and Calder in 2008 and was elected as a partner in 2014. He previously worked for Slaughter and May in London. Jonathon has been recommended in Legal 500 and has been listed as a leading lawyer by IFLR1000.
