Barnabas is a member of the Finance group at Maples and Calder in the Cayman Islands. He has broad experience in, and regularly works on, structured, project and asset finance transactions, as well as advising on general corporate and commercial matters. Barnabas's practice has a particular focus on aviation and ship finance transactions and he regularly advises lenders, borrowers and lessors in connection with on- and off-balance sheet commercial aircraft finance and leasing, ECA financing transactions, aircraft portfolio securitisations, and private equity co-investment platforms.
Barnabas joined Maples and Calder in 2012, having previously worked in the Shipping Finance team at Norton Rose LLP in London. Prior to this, Barnabas completed his training at Richards Butler (now Reed Smith LLP) in London and Hong Kong.
