Matt is a partner in the corporate team in Hong Kong. Matt regularly acts for major international financial institutions, publicly listed and private companies, asset managers and promoters. He specialises in advising on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, reorganisations, corporate governance and capital markets and also has significant experience advising on the establishment, structuring and restructuring of offshore investment funds.
Matt has worked for several years in both the corporate and funds departments of Maples and Calder in the Cayman Islands and Hong Kong commencing in 2007. Matt was also a corporate & funds partner with another leading international offshore firm in Hong Kong for two years. Before that Matt spent over 8 years as a corporate and resources lawyer in Australia.
