Mary's areas of expertise include project finance and corporate transactions, public procurement law, and EU and Irish competition law. She specialises in infrastructure projects in the energy, road, rail, education, water, waste and health sectors, with particular expertise in PPPs. Mary also provides advice on construction law, including all forms of Irish and international construction and engineering documentation.
Mary acts as an expert to the OECD and World Bank on public procurement and project finance, and has drafted laws and procedures for many governments seeking to do business with the EU, such as Croatia, Armenia, Macedonia and Morocco.
Mary joined Maples and Calder in 2012. Prior to this she was a partner with a leading Irish law firm from 2007 to 2012. Before joining Maples and Calder, Mary previously worked as Head of Legal at the NDFA and also worked for a leading Irish law firm, during which time she was seconded to the Strategic Investment Board in Belfast.
