James' practice focuses on investment funds for Asian clients and includes advising on all aspects relating to the formation and maintenance of both private equity and hedge funds. James also has experience advising on mutual funds targeted at Japanese investors. In addition, he advises on a broad spectrum of matters, including downstream corporate and finance transactions, public and private mergers and acquisitions, as well as on general corporate law.
James joined Maples and Calder in 2014. He previously worked for two years as an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom (UK) LLP in London.
