Dale is a partner in the Finance group and Co-Head of the Asset Finance group in the Cayman Islands. He specialises in a wide variety of on- and off-balance sheet commercial and private aircraft finance and leasing matters, principally advising commercial banks/financial institutions and export credit agencies, airlines, aircraft leasing companies and lenders. Dale also advises private yacht owners, commercial shipping companies and commercial banks/financial institutions in transactions for the acquisition, financing, mortgaging, leasing and charting of all types of commercial vessels and private yachts owned by Cayman Islands individuals or entities, wherever flagged. He routinely advises with respect to the registration of all types of vessels with MACI.
Dale joined Maples and Calder in 1997 and was elected as a partner in 2005. He previously worked with Chambers in London specialising in insolvency. Dale has been recommended in Legal 500.

Dale is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, the Cayman Islands Law Society and the Caymanian Bar Association (past-President). He is also a member of the Cayman Islands Maritime (Shipping) Sector Consultative Committee.
