As the interest in the use of trusts grows in emerging markets so does the search for the right trustee arrangement. Would-be settlors are taking more of an interest in just who will be the trustee of their trust, how it will be owned and controlled and how much information will be available to whom and where. Such motives are leading to increased consideration of more bespoke arrangements to reassure the settlor that the trustee is working to achieve his objectives and has a real connection to him - in short, a private trust company.
