China Offshore Holding Structures - How They Benefit China

Regulatory and taxation policy changes in China have introduced new factors to be considered when structuring investments into China. Despite these, BVI and Cayman companies remain the jurisdictions of choice for holding companies. Greg Knowles examines the benefit of using companies domiciled in foreign jurisdictions, like the British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands, to invest directly into China and highlights that offshore vehicles have much to contribute, both now and in the future, to the advantage of international investors and, above all, to China itself.
