Andrew is a senior partner in Maples and Calder's Dublin office, having previously served as Managing Partner of the Dublin office from 2007 until 2015. He is a member of the Corporate group and advises clients on a broad range of corporate and private equity matters. Andrew has represented clients on some of the most significant M&A and private equity transactions in Ireland.
Andrew joined Maples and Calder in 2007, having previously been a senior corporate partner at a large Irish law firm where he was a member of its management committee. He managed the London office of that firm for a number of years, returning to Ireland in 2005. Andrew served as a member of Maples and Calder's Global Management Committee from 2009 until 2013. Andrew is a member of an advisory committee to Minister Simon Coveney, TD on certain sports governance and regulatory matters and is a member of the Reform Club.
Andrew is consistently considered by international legal journals to be one of Ireland's foremost corporate lawyers. Chambers and Partners recognise Andrew as one of a small number of "eminent practitioners" in the corporate field, describing him as "very savvy and extremely strong both technically and commercially". Legal 500 ranks the Corporate group in its highest tier and describes Andrew as "excellent and market savvy".
