Tim has extensive experience in the use of offshore finance vehicles from investment funds such as hedge, credit opportunity and private equity funds, to structured debt products such as CDOs, securitisation and SIVs. His practice also includes work on general corporate matters, as well as insurance and other alternative risk transfer work such as captives and insurance linked securities.
Professional Background
Tim joined the Cayman office of Maples and Calder in 2001 and was elected as a Partner in 2003. He has worked with Ogier in Jersey and before that Maples and Calder in the Cayman Islands and Hong Kong. He qualified as a lawyer in 1992 and practised with Allen & Overy in London where he completed a secondment to the fixed income syndicate desk at Merrill Lynch.
