Expertise
James is an employment lawyer. He advises domestic and international companies and senior executives on all aspects of employment law including drafting employment contracts and policies; the removal of board-level senior executives; outsourcings pursuant to the transfer of undertakings regulations; disciplinary and grievance procedures; bullying, harassment and work-related stress processes; and enforcing post-termination restrictive covenants. He represents clients before the employment tribunals and civil courts and regularly conducts his own advocacy.
James also specialises in corporate immigration, advising on employment permit applications and appeals.
Professional Background
James joined Maples and Calder in 2011. He previously worked for a large Irish corporate law firm and before that for Wedlake Bell in London.
